Lap Luat NGUYEN, maître de conférences à l'université internationale de Ho Chi Minh City au Vietnam, présentera ses travaux de recherche le mardi 11 octobre de 10h à 12h au Télé-Amphithéâtre du Pôle Numérique du Bouguen.

TITLE : Automatic Water Metering system based on NB-IoT: Design and Application

ABSTRACT: The Narrowband IoT, as deployed today, is part of the 5G family. It is a 3GPP radio technology standard that addresses the Low Power Wide Area requirements of the IoT. The low power consumption NB-IoT requirement that enables devices to operate for many years on a single charge. Accompanied with low cost, high capacity, and wide coverage, these make them well suited for a wide range of IoT applications – particularly Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications, including smart metering applications. This project will explain the design of an automatic water metering system based on NB-IoT. The project also details the measurement principles for using an LC sensor to detect rotational movement. Based on this measurement principle, the project is presented demonstrating contactless rotational measurement using the scan interface of a low power MCU device. Software as well as hardware for the implementation will be demonstrated.
